Ah, some lyrics I wrote that I feel are actually half decent. Hooray! This song has its story in that solo halfway through. I actually wrote it as a synth solo, and asked the best guitarist I could think of to record it - Sixto Sounds. For a few weeks I got quite a few death threats, quite a bit of name calling, and got back a solo with the comments that it was by far the most difficult solo he's ever recorded. It got called cruel by some other guitarists. Oops?
I will say that the end result was worth it, that guitar solo is amazing. Not to discount Josh Kruszyna - the other guitarist who worked on this album, who's ending guitar solo even gives Sixto a run for his money! Production wise, this was by far the most difficult song. Its funny how even when you have the same settings on every song, its difficult to get them sounding consistent and be happy with it. I had to go back and mess around with all the tracks just to get some form of consistency that I liked!
lyrics
I look around
I'm thinking to myself
Society is fading, crumbling
Whatever happened to this worlds identity
Master to slave, we aren't incorruptible
I understand
Our cause is lost
Morals are shot
'Cause we forgot
Society
will eat itself
here's to our health
Society Insanity, can you feel it?
Society Insanity, you can't stop it
I look around
I see a herd of sheep
Because Ideals have disappeared
But can't you see, we're ineffectual
Because the world is disillusioned now
Society Insanity, can you feel it?
Society Insanity, you can't stop it
I understand
Our cause is lost
Morals are shot
'Cause we forgot
will eat itself
here's to our health
Society Insanity, can you feel it?
Society Insanity, you can't stop it
Society Insanity, can you feel it?
Why can't you see we are lost , Why can't you see
